West Indies women take on Pakistan women in 1st ODI in Antigua

A confident West Indies women’s team take on Pakistan women in the 1st ODI on Wednesday in Antigua.

The home team swept Pakistan 3-0 in the T20 series with skipper Stefanie Taylor taking a hat-trick and scoring 43 not out in their 3rd T20I win.

Player of the Series Shamilia Connell also starred in the series, taking five wickets.

Pakistan’s batters did not come to the party during the T20I series with skipper Javeria Khan one of their main concerns.

However, Ayesha Naseem’s performance was the one silver lining in the series.

West Indies women won the last ODI series 3-1 when the team’s played last in 2015 in the Caribbean.

During that series, Taylor scored 261 runs, with Pakistan’s Anam Amin taking nine wickets.
