The New York Knicks won their first championship in 5 decades & 2 years.
On Tuesday December 16th, 2025, the New York Knicks won the 2025 Emirates NBA Cup.
Although their performance was far too scrappy, they found a way to get the job done.
The Knicks bench players including the leagues number one dominant rebounding player Mitchell Robinson, Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek, save the day with their outstanding individual performances.
The major players, including their captain Jalen Brunson, Karl Anthony-Towns and Hart, have great talent and perseverance but need a higher level of confidence to win their ultimate goal, the 2025 NBA championship.
The rest of the players must come to terms that together the team is much better than captain Jalen Brunson and start making moves when the right opportunity presents itself. There are many times that the other players have good opportunities to finish big plays and shine.
I believe that OG Anunoby should have received the most valued player of the game instead of Jalen Brunson. However, it is what it is.
A Win Is A Win. And the Knicks really needed it.
