On Friday July 2026, just before 1:30pm or thereabout, it’s alleged that Yvette James a 79-year-old woman was apparently run over by 63 years old female driver who lost control of her vehicle. She died on the scene. The accident occurred at the corner of Rutland Road & East 92nd Street, Brooklyn, NY 11212.
Yvette James was a volunteer at a church kitchen pantry for over 20 years.
According to neighbors and onlookers, it was stated that the deceased (Yvette James) and her friend went to collect a prescription at the nearby pharmacy, but she decided to wait outside, while her friend went in to collect the item.
It was while waiting outside on the pavement that the accident occurred. On her friend’s return from inside the pharmacy, she learnt of her death. The friend was placed on a chair to sit on the same pavement that her friend was killed, as she was so overwhelmed and shocked with grief.
