Members of the US Delaware National Guard are currently in Trinidad and Tobago conducting training exercises with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force and Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and other agents of the National Security Ministry as part of a knowledge exchange partnership.
In a series of updates the Delaware National Guard shared photos of the exercises of officials engaged in exercises and taking part in helicopter flights.
The exercises, which began following the team’s arrival on May 1, included members of the Delaware National Guard’s Army Aviation Units and 166th Airlift Wing.
This marks the 20th anniversary of the State Partnership Program between the Delaware National Guard and Trinidad and Tobago.
The DNG will be conducting a Knowledge Exchange with Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force through May, which includes rotary-wing aviation operations.
The DNG said the partnership is founded on military-to-military engagements between organizations falling under the Ministry of National Security, including the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, and Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service and the Delaware National Guard. These engagements support the State, the National Guard, the region and both nations by strengthening their relationships.
