Iwer gives thanks, prepares for Savannah global tour

One for the history books.

That is how Iwer George is describing Carnival 2018.

In a statement issued via Perception Management, his management team, George conceded defeat in the Road March race, congratulating Machel Montano and Superblue for winning another title.

“What an incredible and memorable season! From the mass Savannah hysteria in every fete to the intense road march battle that gripped the country, I’m sure we can all agree that Carnival 2018 was certainly one for the history books.

Special thanks to Perception Management and Badjohn Republic for their contributions to my epic season. Unreserved congrats to Machel and Super for yet another Road March title. Next, we take the Savannah Tour to the global audience – dates to be announced soon,” the statement said.

Since releasing his Road March contender on Boxing Day, his first attempt at the title in 17 years, George has been grinding hard, appearing in fetes all over Trinidad and Tobago to push his song.

The competition heated up when Montano and Superblue dropped Soca Kingdon in the new year, with the two even singing each other’s song at Jam Nation.
