ARTISTES AND OTHER CREATIVES TO BENEFIT FROM ONE TIME $5,000 RELIEF GRANT

The effects of the novel coronavirus on the entertainment industry, worldwide, has proven impeding. Travel has been halted indefinitely and in Trinidad and Tobago where entry and exit borders remain closed, many artistes across genres, music producers, dancers, stylists, videographers, publicists, DJs and others on the culture and entertainment landscape, have lost income.

Today, there is word that these persons can now receive from Trinidad and Tobago’s government, a one-time grant, as a form of relief.

The Cultural Relief Grant will offer all Trinidad and Tobago citizens who are involved in the culture and arts sector, and have lost income, as a direct result of the effects of COVIS-19, a one-time $5000TTD pay out.

Creatives and Artistes who are citizens of Trinidad and Tobago and who have not received any other COVID-19 relief grants are eligible to apply.

Creatives and Artistes must fall within the genres of Music, Visual Arts, Literary Arts, Dance, Theatre Arts, Film, Craft and Fine Art.

Applicants must also provide supporting documentation illustrating proof of Trinidad and Tobago citizenship, sustained activity within the respective genre of cultural enterprise over the period 2018-2020 and proof of loss of income between March-December 2020.
